What happens when I close my prepaid card account?

You can close your prepaid card account by calling customer service. A check will be sent to your address on file with the remaining balance on the card. At this point, your card will no longer be active.If you change your mind and decide to reopen your card account, simply call customer service and allow 7–10 business days for your new card to arrive in the mail. A $10 charge will be transferred from your ABLE account to cover the cost of the new card.Activate your new card and card number before you use it online and in stores all over the U.S.

Can I have more than one ABLE prepaid card?

You can only have one prepaid card connected to each ABLE account you manage or own. So, if you have an ABLE account for yourself and you’re an Authorized Legal Representative for a beneficiary who also has an ABLE account, you can have one prepaid card with your name for your ABLE account and another one for the beneficiary with both of your names on the card. Your card must be activated within 30 days of registering for a Card Account or your Card Account will be closed.

How does the ABLE for ALL Prepaid Card work?

Once a prepaid card is activated, you can load the card with as little as $10 and up to $15,000 of money from an ABLE account. Purchases can be made online and in stores that accept prepaid cards all over the U.S. Use the “Credit” or “Debit” options to process your transaction. You can go online and review your card account activity, balance and settings from the Card tab of the ABLE account. It’s easy to reload money and manage expenses. If you ever need to freeze or secure your account, you can do it from your account or by calling customer service. Your card must be activated within 30 days of registering for a Card Account or your Card Account will be closed.
